Chances are you’ve seen graffiti grace the walls under bridges in Austin and the sides of forgotten buildings. But do you know how graffiti art got it’s start?
Come learn the history of graffiti (it’s fascinating!) and try it out yourself. Mez Data, is a local artist that cut his teeth learning graffiti art and tradition as it was passed down from artist to artist, hand to spray can.
You’ll learn about the different types of letters, why they came to be, and some of the tagging methods used by various people.
This class will start with the history and the methods, and will end with you practicing yourself by creating your own tag.
